Core Dynamics™ - A Long Term Solution For Ever Changing Needs.
In addition to developing a secure, reliable and flexible payment processing environment, the design team recognized the importance of longevity and scalability when asking merchants to recognize the TranScend™ server as the central component of their overall payment solution. The last thing that any business owner wants is a disruption in their business in order to replace a key component that can no longer keep up with the new demands of the business. Therefore, CoreDynamics™ was created to address the scalability issues posed by many merchants. This sub-system has many unique features typically associated with application software found in large corporations.
- Multiple Outbound Communication Channels – The communication with the outside world is the slowest part of the transaction process. Our internal testing shows that if a typical transaction is processed in 200 milliseconds, better than half that time is spent exchanging data with the card processing company. If allowed, all external communications employ a connection pooling strategy where many connections to the processors are initiated simultaneously. Each of these communication channels can execute “in parallel” for separate client requests, which serves to boost the overall throughput of the system.
- Optional Configurations –TranScend™ is composed of several individual software components that run as processes. In many cases additional instances of these processes can be initiated per license agreements. These processes can operate simultaneously and parallel to each other in order to establish redundancy, improve performance, increase system throughput and allow merchants to load balance where applicable.
- Distributed Computing Mode - If your system has exceptional data volumes and/or throughput requirements, you may also opt to purchase a system license that will allow you distribute the TranScend™ software components across multiple physical servers to gain additional processing power from the system. This configuration is made possible by the “self discovery mechanisms” built into each software component that allow them to “automatically discover” other core processes.
- From time to time it may be necessary to change card processing companies. TranScend™ can be easily reconfigured to send your transactions to another card processor without making changes to your integration interface.
- Split Dial - in some cases, businesses that accept multiple payment types may seek the “best prices” when selecting processors to perform interchange services for different payment types. To allow your business to benefit from these possibilities, TranScend™ is designed with a “split- dial” capability, which allows the merchant to employ different card processors for different payment types.
